Even More Fairy Tales – Viking Edition brings 15 classic stories into one Nordic world of kings, monsters, impossible bargains, hidden identities, dangerous doors, magic, survival and transformation.

The album continues Al Rashid Music’s Fairy Tales – Viking Edition series, drawing on public-domain stories associated with Hans Christian Andersen, the Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault, Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, Carlo Collodi, the Arabian Nights tradition and English folk storytelling.

These are not modern film adaptations. The album returns to older literary and traditional tales, then rebuilds them inside an original Viking-age setting.

Some of these stories are centuries old. Others were created by individual literary authors and became so culturally familiar that they now feel like folklore themselves. What connects them is their extraordinary ability to survive reinvention while their central ideas remain recognizable.

The idea of “Nine Worlds” is famous today, but Old Norse sources do not give us one simple, definitive map containing nine neatly organized realms. The surviving mythological material is more fragmented. Yggdrasil connects different places and beings across the Norse cosmos, while texts such as the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda preserve traditions that do not always fit into a single modern diagram.

NINE WORLDS embraces that uncertainty rather than treating Norse cosmology like a fixed fantasy map.

Across the album, Cys moves through places associated with humans, gods, giants, elves, the dead, frost and fire while encountering figures whose stories reach far beyond any single realm. Fenrir and Jörmungandr, for example, belong to the mythology surrounding Loki and become central to the catastrophe of Ragnarök. Gjallarhorn is associated with Heimdallr and signals the beginning of the final crisis.

Even Ragnarök itself is not simply an ending. Völuspá describes a renewed earth emerging after the destruction, green again, while surviving gods and human beings continue into what follows. That cycle of creation, fate, destruction and renewal provides the larger arc of NINE WORLDS.

Musically, the album brings Cys into an epic Nordic world shaped by Viking music, Tech House and Tech Funk, with deep modern bass beneath its mythological atmosphere.

Everwild brings together Melodic Metal, Dark Nordic Celtic Folk and Dark Electronic music, carried throughout by Janice’s warm, soulful and powerful voice.

Heavy melodic guitars meet deep electronic weight, electric harp and Irish low whistle, creating a sound that can move from intimate and atmospheric to vast and monumental.

There is no single continuous story behind Everwild.

Each song stands on its own — a different encounter with wilderness, distance, weather, memory, silence, uncertainty and endurance. Together, they explore what happens when the landscape around us begins to reflect something within us.

The journey begins with Into the Wild and moves through listening forests, ancient skies and flowing rivers. Storms arrive. The landscape becomes colder. The sea turns black. The horizon grows wider.

Later, the perspective begins to change.

The wilderness is no longer only somewhere outside.

It becomes memory. It becomes silence. It becomes something carried forward.

And when Everwild reaches its final song, there is no grand conquest and no wilderness left defeated behind us.

There is simply something that survived.

The Fire Remains.

The vocals throughout Everwild are performed entirely in Sorvara, giving the album its distinctive lyrical sound and identity. Every song carries both its English title and its Sorvara title.
